2013 FRASER COAST SPRINTS CANCELLED
It is with regret that I advise that this year's Fraser Coast Sprints has been officially cancelled.
With the event only seven weeks away, a number of factors have prompted this decision including my recent track inspection which shows that the resurfacing and subsequent patching after several large events by Council is below acceptable standard, lower numbers of preliminary entries than previous years and the fact that any possible losses experienced by the event come out of the organisers individual pockets.
Over the coming weeks, refunds of deposits will be made, but we are also happy to keep them for next year's event if competitors choose, giving you a priority entry to 2014. I have already received confirmation of additional funding for 2014 which will not be available to us in time for this year's event, and we are confident that the track will be resurfaced to a high standard once again over the coming months.
