RECORD CROWD AT FRASER SHORES MARYBOROUGH SPEEDWAY
6200 people flooded through the gates for opening night at the Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway last Night. For the first time in the 55 year history of the Club the gates had to be closed to spectators as the speedway reached capacity. At one stage the crowd waiting to get in the gates stretched back to the entrance road.
Spectators witnessed... what was one of the best nights in the History of the Club with the Show'N'Shine, Burnouts, Monster Trucks, Street Sedans, Formula 500's, Production Sedans, Nostaglia Sedans, Junior Quarter Midgets and a Huge Fireworks Display.
A big Thank-you to all the spectators who attended for their patience and courtesy, you were an awesome crowd.
Special Thanks to our event sponsors Hervey Bay Wreckers, Bob Jane T-Mart Maryborough, AutoBarn Maryborough and Peters Ice Cream.
Big Thanks to Brendan Cherrie and the guys from Dirt Diggas for the use of there equipment for the event and operating it for us, the event wouldn't have happened without your support.
Thanks to all the volunteers and officials who worked on the infield, around the track, in the Canteen and Bar, Especially the Baddow Scouts at the Ticket Box and the Fraser Coast Community Support Group for parking cars and working on the pit gates.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back in the future.
