So she is almost completed and ready to go to Fulcrum for a wheel alignment and then over to prodyno for an exhaust system and dyno run so I gave it a quick bath to get all the sanding dust and crap of it before we go.

Ready for her wheels to be aligned!

Now we are at Prodyno for exhaust system and Dyno run.

Looking mad!

Got the better steering wheel on for the wheel alignment.

Some underneath shots while she was on the hoist.

Exhaust system getting made.  We used pipe and Lukey muffler from the old system off my XD and also used other pipe work to join it all up from a new Mustang and Maloo ute.

Some of the exhaust was from the Mustang you can see in the background.  It had an after market exhaust system fitted so the standard one was binned and that was handy for us.

So with the exhaust completed it was time to hit the Dyno!

So I had some big problems arise on the Dyno runs.  First up it decide not to pump up enough fuel so we discovered that the 044 pump I bought was dodgy.  So I ended up buying a VL Commodore external pump and made a few changes and it better suited the flow for the Barra.  Then we discovered that the 044 pump ruined the fuel pressure regulator so I had to go to the wreckers and get another one of those.  Finally we got onw good run in and then the computer decided to start shutting down because it wasn't receiving a speed signal, so I got kick off the dyno and had to go home and make a few changes.

So when I got home I Found the speed signal wire just hanging around and it runs to B7 pin on the computer.  So I hooked it up to the gearbox sender.

Doing a wire check and making sure I was reciving a speed signal on my Tablet.

For some reason the computer still wasn't receiving a speed signal.  So I got onto my flash tuner and he sent me a module to make the computer read a speed signal and that still didn't work  Sad
I discovered the speed signal was going to pin B5 instead of B7 so I made a pin change in the computer plug.

I also had to ground the clutch wire.

Still didnt work so I had enough for the day.  All we could do is reset the computer before each run so it was time to go racing anyway!

So we arrived at the Wondai Street Sprints safely and both me and Mel were super excited and very nervous. We weren't sure how this car was going to drive especially after failing on the dyno. We had never driven the car on the road before, so we weren't sure on handling, brakes steering and even if the engine was going to rev for us without breaking down. Mel was also keen on making the cars debut with having the first run so I was very worried, as long as the brakes worked that was my main concern. So we got the car passed through scrutineering and Mel got her first ever drivers pack. We got back to the pits, stickered up the car and finally done an unveiling for everyone to see on facebook because I kept a bit of a secret on there, only you guys with this thread seen how the car came to life.

So it was race day and now the nerves were really kicking in for the both of us.  All the hard work I had put in over the last 6 months all lead to this moment.  THIS IS IT!

Mel going out for her very first run and also Psicho XF very first race!

And take off.  She launches the car beautifully!

So she made it safely around the course perfectly.  All my hard work paid off.  I could hear the engine break down a bit towards the end of her run.  When she got back to the pits we swapped drivers and had a very quick decision on how the car felt.  Mel said the steering and brakes are amazing and the car powered on fantastically.   So it was my turn to see what this new beast is made out of.

good mate Benno wanted to get in on a pic lol

Mel wishing me luck!

lining up!

The car took off way better then I expected!  And it drove beautifully even nicer then the XD!

Mel racing through the chicanes!

Mel has the race eyes on!  At the same time trying to figure out how to stop the wipers lol

me taking another corner.

So it was a very successful weekend even with the ECU restricting the engine.  I went about 3 seconds quicker than in the XD the previous year and Mel finally got to do a race and now she has the racing bug.  My best time was a 1:04.3468 and Mel was 1:16.4075

So in the end here are the results for our class:
