XYZ Coilovers Empty
PostSubject: XYZ Coilovers   XYZ Coilovers EmptyThu Apr 28, 2016 3:38 am

Hi everyone just thought I would show off my new coilovers I bought for the XD!

The king spring used is a progressive spring ranging from 550 LB to 900LB. The dampers have 30 different settings from soft to hard.

Cant wait to race with them!

XYZ Coilovers Empty
PostSubject: Re: XYZ Coilovers   XYZ Coilovers EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 9:25 am

With the Wondi Sprints fast aproching I had to get moving with my suspention mods! The first problem I ran into was that the bottom mounting bolts were not long enough to go through my new upper control arms. I was also left with a gap so I had to get some shims between the coilovers and the control arms. So I got the issue sortered. Then because I had loger bolts in the coilovers that ment they were harded to install into the car but I found the nak and got them in. The next drama was when the control arms were set with 3 degrees negative camber my wheels would rub on the control arms. So I purchased some wheel spacers and it happily runs 2 degrees camber happily but 3 degrees still rubs so that's a little bit of a pain but I will make sure when I buy new wheels I will make sure they clear. Then when installing the rear adjustable struts the went in well but to put the damper control nobs in, the drivers side one would hit a part of the car so I gently massaged the steel and the moved the top of the strut and managed to get it in to adjust the damping rate. All in all everything went well and the car handles unbelievable. so its of to get a wheel alignment on Monday so should improve in more yet.. Bring on the sprints!

pics coming soon
